this is a sad day. i never thought society would turn into something like this. what is it exactly? a congregation of people with nothing to do, that's what it is. what am i doing here? funny you should ask.
so this is what we've become. mall rats. we leave our kids to play at gaming stations while do our rounds going from one shop to another trying to find items that would somehow fit our size and budget. budget being the operative word.
whatever happened to sunday barbeque get-togethers at grandma's? whatever happened to "easy sunday mornings?" when i was a kid back in '84, i remembered grandpa buying those thick sunday broadsheets (3 kinds of papers in fact). he'll give me the kid's page where i would busy myself reading the comic strips, doing some mazes and puzzles, connecting the dots, and coloring large smiling dinosaur pictures. when he sees that i'm all preoccupied with the kid's page, he'd make himself a huge mug of black coffee, occupy his comfy little reading corner, and proceed to read all the other sections of the paper.
aahh yes, those were the days.
i'm out.
