radio gaga
been reading others' blogs this past hour or so. most notable ones so far are: Go West, Surgical Strikes, Aperture Wide Open, Drugs.Love.Poetry, Espresso Sarcasm, and Joy. kudos guys for maintaining such entertaining, depressing, sarcastic, witty, and interesting blogs. wish i could do the same.
while working, yeah, yeah i actually found enough motivation and reason to go forward with work... is not wanting to hear the words "YOU'RE FIRED!" enough reason? i think so). anyway as i was saying... while working today i decided to tune in to my radio at vh1. i usually listen to the Crunch, Blast, VH1 Classic Rock, and The Experience. but today i'm feeling just a tad bit nostalgic. i clicked the "I love the 90's" station and boom.. i'm on a trip back to my good ol' high school and college days. aaahhh yes.
in my opinion, the 90s is one of the better decades of music, espcially with the boom of bands. i mean real bands. not boy bands. real bands that started out in garage jams and made their own songs and distinct sound. i think the only worthy band that came out after the 90s is Cold Play, that's how lean the alternative/ grunge genre has been.
thought i'd give you a preview of the songs i've been trippin' on:
1. Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box
2. Oasis' Definitely Maybe
3. Blind Melon's No Rain
4. Beastie Boys' Sabotage
5. Joan Osborne's One of Us
6. Ben Folds Five's Brick
7. Garbage's Queer
8. Jon Spencer Blues Explosion's Afro
9. Shawn Calvin's Sunny Came Home
10. Inspiral Carpet's Commercial Reign
11. Pearl Jam's Jeremy
12. Flaming Lip's She Don't Use Jelly
everything's really going well, then i heard: Sisqo's Thong Song (yuck) and Celine Dion (double yuck).
i'm out.
